I have asked CEA for my political contribution back so I can support friends of education and the opponents of those opposed to teachers. A donation to your campaign will be forthcoming. 22q Awareness Week Dear Rep. Tyler, Thank you for sponsoring joint resolution 43, proclaiming the last week in August 22q Awareness Week in Colorado. We're planning some awareness raising and celebratory events, including a meet & greet reception at Ling & Louie's on Aug.24, 6-8 pm, a portion of the proceeds going to The Children's Hospital 22q fund, and a lunch & learn and celebratory reception on Aug. 25, 12-2. You'll be receiving an invitation, and we hope you'll be able to attend one or both events so that we can recognize you before a greater community. I hope you are having a good summer. My granddaughter, who has the 22q deletion, is enjoying her summer, and we are too, having hope that our field of dreams for 22q management here in Colorado, is coming true. Sincerely, Linda Collison Steamboat Springs, CO Submitted By: Linda Collison, RN

Enegy Thanks for taking the time to chat this evening. GovEnergy is the premier public/private energy conference. Held this year in Dallas, 08/15-19/2010. An excellent opportunity to get spun-up quickly on what is being done nationally. Larry Submitted By: Larry Posanka

unjust motor vehicle fees Dear Mr. Tyler, I am one of your constituents, living in Colorado District 23, and I would like to bring something to your attention that, to me, does not make sense. My daughter went to New York last year to work with Americorps, tutoring underprivileged children in the inner city. She did not need her car there, but as it was only a one-year appointment, it did not make sense to sell the car either. According to Colorado law, an owner of a car is responsible to keep the car registered. While I understand and support that in general, it does not make sense in this case, or, for example, for soldiers who are assigned overseas for a limited time. There have to be exceptions for this provision. A few days ago, I received a new card to register the car. This time I need to go through emissions, and I have to provide proof of insurance. I understand that Colorado wants to have all motor vehicles registered, but now the state is forcing me to keep the car registered, to pay for

The Big bad Three Hi Mr Tyler, These new ballot initiatives keep me awake at night! I have two children in a Golden elementary school and the the cuts have already affected our family. My son is one of the best in his class, especially in math, but is also introverted and sensitive. He struggles in overcrowded classrooms of 30 children ranging in abilities down to Special Ed and 1 teacher. As a result, his CSAP scores are erratic, he dislikes school and has been in several fight last year. Currently, our family pays for private tutors, school supplies which include Kleenex, paper towels ,copy paper and sometimes Kinko's copy cards. It worries me to think what happens if these pass. Thanks for Listening. Submitted By: Mimi Johannes

Chatfield off leash dog park Dear Max, I am writing to request your support to preserve the Chatfield off leash dog park, AS IS. I do not agree with proposed changes to limit access to off leash areas of the park. The dog park is the ONLY reason I buy a annual pass, please do not let the State Park Board take this special part of my life away. this is my family outing, it is special, it is social, it is unique. Urban life is grim for people who love their dogs, please preserve the sanctity of the off keash park. I appreciate your calls. I will vote for you if you stand up for dog lovers like me. Thanks. Mechanics' lien My son has his own automotive repair business and we have been trying to obtain a title to cars left without paying their bill. We have jumped through all the hoops required and yet every time we go back to motor vehicles, they come up with something new we have to do. I would like to meet with you and see if you can help us through this bureaucratic mess. Submitted By: Bonnie Dreblow
