November 21, 2009 (Golden)
Golden Town Hall Meeting:
The Beltway

The purpose of the meeting will be to listen to concerns and criticisms of the Northwest Parkway (Beltway) expansion, as well as to discuss and evaluate possible alternatives to the project as proposed by the people of Golden.

When: November 21, 2009, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Where: Golden City Council Chambers, 911 10th St, Golden

As for my views, I am opposed to the expansion of the northwest parkway.  Even if some private or foreign interests build a toll road, it will result in further congestion and uncontrolled development,  Building a highway through downtown Golden would destroy the historic small town charm and open space in the process of padding developers’ pockets.
